Indulge at the St. Lucia Food and Rum Festival

Everyone knows that one of the best parts of going on vacation is all the awesome food and cocktails you get to indulge in. Get a taste of the Caribbean in St. Lucia this September by checking out the St Lucia Food and Rum Festival from September 19th to 22nd.

The St. Lucia Food and Rum Festival has been going on since 2006, with the mission of showcasing Caribbean rums, restaurants, chefs, and local cuisine. Previous years’ festivals have included food demonstrations from local and international chefs plus special offers from some of the island’s finest restaurants and bars.

This year’s festival is particularly inspired by the achievements of Chefs Nina Compton, Shorne Benjamin, and Doran Payne. This is your chance to taste authentic, high-end Caribbean food, paired with amazing locally-made rums and wines. As well as cooking and food demonstration, the festival will offer access to special rum tastings, wine tastings, celebrity chef dinners, community culinary experiences, and more. To make things even more festive, the festival’s events and activities will be accompanied by live entertainment and music from our very own island and beyond.

St. Lucia has so many amazing dining opportunities all year round, but the annual Food and Rum Festival is an especially great time to visit the island if you’re a foodie or rum fan. At Stonefield Villa Resort, we’re proud to have our own wonderful restaurant right on site. Our very own Mango Tree Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a farm-to-table philosophy. We only use fresh, local ingredients which will give you a taste of what real Caribbean food is like. Some of our ingredients, such as organic herbs, fruits, and vegetables, are even grown right on the resort property. We’re also happy to offer live entertainment in the restaurant on Tuesday and Sunday nights, a Creole cuisine night on Wednesdays, and an Island Grill night on Thursdays, complete with a live DJ, fire-eating performers, and limbo dancing.

Come check out the St. Lucia Food and Rum Festival this September 19th to 22nd and be sure to check out our Mango Tree Restaurant while you explore our island’s unforgettable cuisine!
